Soup Stock Tokyo hearty Japanese soups in Singapore

I passed by the Soup Stock Tokyo a couple of times but was not tempted to go in. It was only when a foodie friend raved about the soup did we arrange for a tasting session at the outlet located in 100AM, Tanjong Pagar.

I have had my fair share of soups at Cedele and Soup Spoon - food chains in Singapore where buckets of soup have been scooped out to support healthy eating in the city. It was going to be an interesting experience if Soup Stock Tokyo could create a new passion for soups especially with the need for a hearty dinner at the end of a busy day at work.

Soup Stock Tokyo considers that customers like variety so you have the option of have 1 full soup or a combination of 2 soup flavors. In addition you can also choose between freshly baked bread or rice. Since the rave review was for the crab bisque, it was my obvious test taste. I was suitably impressed as the soup was incredibly flavorful and hearty, what you would expect of a crab bisque. The bread that came along with the meal was crusty on the outside and soft in the inside. A unique soup flavor in Singapore not found in the other soup chains, and totally worth every slurp. It's a perfect soup choice on a rainy day in Singapore.

Would I come back again? Oh yes, when in the mood for soups. In fact I think it might be one of the better soups around town.
