Publico InterContinental Singapore Review

Publico opens earlier in the day from Fridays to Sundays. This gave me the opportunity to have a leisurely lunch one Friday. My previous trip to Publico was in the evening. I must say the decor at Publico is beautiful, it just makes you want to relax and chill here for a couple of hours. And because Publico is so isolated from the rest of Singapore popular haunts, making a trip there makes you feel like you are in a different country all together.

During the day you get to experience the lush greenery and at night Publico gives rise to a mysterious and hip vibe. The food gears towards the pricey side with small portions and a little bit too artistic for my taste buds. But surely it is a place to visit at least once, if you are in the search for something new for a meal in a gorgeous setting.

Prive Cafe waterfront dining among the rich and famous

I lost count of the number of times I have been to Prive Cafe. Be it brunch, dinner, or tea, this place has such a gorgeous view, to me it must rank as one of the romantic spots to bring your date for a meal.

Located at Keppel Bay, Prive Cafe it is a good 20 minute walk from Vivocity. So choose your time to travel there if on foot. You will not be disappointed with the view with luxurious boats dotting the harbor. Prive Cafe serves up western food, fairly decent, substantial fare. I particularly like their Truffle Fries, and personally I think it's one of the better ones in Singapore (apart from Au Chocolat). They have a wide selection of desserts, and to me I though it was pretty good, on the sweet side. However, the chocolate connoisseurs in my midst were not too impressed with the chocolate used in the chocolate tarts.

What I like is after a meal at Prive Cafe, we can actually take a leisurely stroll around the Keppel Bay area, it is really pretty especially in the night. As it offers both air-con and alfresco dining, be sure to make reservations to be assured of a seat.

Overeasy One Fullerton - Perfect dining spot with great views inRaffles Place

It was last minute decision to meet when our original plans fell through. And for once, someone suggested dinner at Overeasy at One Fullerton. It's good when you don't have to be the one to use your brain.

Singapore has been pretty warm, and cloudless and that presented a perfect view of the Marina Bay Sands as I walked to the dinner venue at One Fullerton. Overseasy is definitely spot on with location and that warranted servers being particular about kicking you out of your seat when you have overstayed your time, i.e stopped eating or ordering more food.

To me, Overeasy is decked up like an American diner, perfect for after work drinks and American fare. Nothing fancy, nothing wow, what was most perfect would be location, location, location. With the farely reasonable pricing, it is no wonder the place is packed, and servers giving you the bill telling you to get out.

With so many food options in Singapore, it might be while before I return here though I must say if you are in a crave for good meaty juicy burgers, I must have had one of the better burgers here at Overeasy.
