I had the opportunity to have dinner with a friend at Prego Restaurant in Fairmont Singapore in March. Prego is supposed to be one of the famous places for Italian pastas in Singapore. So finally, my friend and I went off the no-carb diet and indulged in a yummy plate of pasta that was cooked to perfection. We had the fried calamari as starters, which was delicious, just perhaps a tad salty, followed by clam pasta cooked in white wine sauce, and seafood aglio olio. For my seafood pasta, I opted out from mussels and they gave me an endless supply of mini prawns and scallops. Delicious! Prego's ain't really the place to sit and chat, but rather a place for hearty dining. Next time, I'll stay on and try their tiramisu. I thought it was rather thoughtful when the waiter presented me with a black napkin. I later realize it was because I was dressed in black bottoms and the white napkin may leave lint on. I love restaurants that bother going into such fine details!
