This is probably my third time to Supply and Demand in a matter of six months. I have tried outlets both at Orchard Gateway and Esplanade, with each having it's unique points - Orchard Gateway for the convenience, and the Esplanade cozy and away from the crowds. Expect to still see the restaurant at the Orchard Gateway buzzing with conversations as groups of friends catch up over pizzas and pastas. The good thing about Supply and Demand is that they allow for reservations even on a Saturday, and this definitely helps in making date plans with friends.
One of the must have items is the Garlic Truffle Fries, although you can hardly taste the truffle oil, the fries itself is delicious and a must have. Another favorite of mine is the Calamari Fritto, which is basically fried calamari, where few places in Singapore can do this well. This time, I also tried the pizza which was a half seafood and a half smoked salmon, which makes it more fun eating with variety the order of the day. I also sampled their dessert and coffee, which I personally feel still require some fine tuning, with desserts being overly sweet, and the flat white that came to me looked more like milo kosong.
What is great about Supply and Demand is the intent to bring Italian food to the masses at decent prices. Though you won't be getting the finest of food or the most attentive of crew, it is still a great place to hang out with friends to enjoy a meal of Italian food without busting your budget.
