I have heard so much about The Regent Singapore Tea Lounge and how it was one of the better high tea buffets in Singapore. Finally after a relatively long break from buffets, I made my way here to celebrate a friend's birthday for tea on a Saturday afternoon.
Once you step into the The Regent Singapore, you are greeted with luxury, and the Tea Lounge though located in the lobby area, still affords privacy, with its plush seating and is decorated with pretty plating and table wear you know you are in for a chi chi afternoon treat.
The Tea Lounge keeps strictly to their 2 seating in the afternoon. Although I was 15 minutes early, I was not allowed to take a seat, but at least we had the flexibility to walk around the buffet to take many pictures before they were snapped up.
Though the food selection is limited, the quality of food was superbly and beautifully prepared and laid out. I particularly liked their variety of different dips as well as the Wagyu beef cuts. Desserts were also just as impressive with every bite worth its calorie. There are hotels that include buffet as one of their commercial business, and there are those that really think through the entire dining experience, and I must day the Regent Singapore is one of them. It was indeed a lovely day spent dressing up pretty, using pretty table wear, and eating pretty food. Makes you feel like a gal through and through.
Though it comes at a steep price of $58, it's worth to at least try once when you really want to pamper yourself or a friend.
