I first encountered Artisan Boulangerie Co when it initially opened in Vivocity, my first impression, was that they specialized in tarts that reminded me of Bourke Street Bakery in Sydney. Over the span of the past year they have been popping up everywhere. It was after brunch on a Saturday that we decided to check out Artisan Boulangerie Co located at Killiney Road on the way to the MRT.
If there was a hidden cafe find in Orchard Road, Artisan Boulangerie Co (abc) must be one of them. Located just behind ComCenter (Singtel), it's large high doors makes immediately think of a New York diner. It has incredibly luxurious seating, perfect for spending a few hours having a cup of coffee with their delicious tarts and watching the rich go by Killiney Road. I thought the meals were pretty reasonable (below $20) for such an environment.

We managed only to squeeze in a lemon tart and a chicken pie both of which were delicious. The lemon tart had enough of the oomph sour factor, and the chicken pie had thick chunks of chicken, mushy enough to think you are having a little bit of a soup as well. The pie crust had enough 'rustle' factor when you bite into it though it would have been better if it was heated up a longer time.
Since this outlet is still new, I am definitely bookmarking this place to come back again before the crowds come! Though it may not be the usual quaint unique cafe serving boutique crafted coffee that I will usually check out on a Saturday, the coziness of the outlet alone makes it worth its while.
