A friend recommended coming to Jones The Grocer at Ion, Orhard to spend my afternoon mobile desking. I needed free internet and it was probably quieter than being at Raffles City.
It's all uber cool here at Jones The Grocer, somehow the dark black and white decor blends in beautifully with Ion Orchard. In the afternoon during the weekday you can be certain to find a seat. Of course with coffee and cake this would set you back at least by $10 versus sitting at Macs or Starbucks.
With cool retro music in the background you will likely not fall asleep. The lighting is quite dark but since I was facing my laptop and not another person, that was fine.
I had a latte which was a fine blend, not requiring any sugar as it did not have a bitter finish. Paired together with a blueberry tart, I am all ready to type away at my laptop.
