I'm not much a fan of steak, only of late began to eat more of it. I must say when I bit into this steak sandwich, I was simply astonished - It was so delicious! The yummiest steak sandwich I've ever eaten! The bread was so moist, the steak so tender and juicy, and mayo blended everything so perfectly! It was just about the best starter platter I've ever eaten too - many a time platters are just a whole bunch of fried stuff put together - you can just have this as a main course and be heartily satisfied! And drinks - we could only have martinis as specified in the complimentary vouchers - so of course I tried the chocolate martini. The martini was so cold it froze the chocolate. Looks nice, but absolutely tough to drink, especially digging out the chocolate. How could you dig out frozen chocolate with a straw? Only after much cajoling and promising the waitress we would be gentle to the glasses, we manage to get spoons to dig the chocolate out - dig is the word! I suppose for the drinker, they would like the chilled martini - but I don't really fancy liquor, so a sip was all I could contain.

My first time at Morton's of Chicago can you believe it? I have always wanted to try this place, but when the desire came about, it was the period I turned vegan for about 4 solid years.... then I just didn't get around eating here. A friend managed to get a complimentary platter and drinks at the Morton's bar so it was the best time to sample one of Singapore's most famous steak places!
