Madam Kwans at Vivocity - Malaysian food fare in Singapore

My colleague recommended Madam Kwan's at Vivocity for lunch and I have since returned for another round. It's a great place for reasonably priced Malaysian fare if you are out west. However expect some hits and misses with the lesser known dishes.

My colleague's main staple must be the fried fish with thick noodle soup, and I must admit it's probably one of the nicer noddle soup dishes although it is twice the price compared to normal foodcourts, you pay for the aircon and nice seats.

For my first lunch there, I tried the assam laksa which did not give me the extra sour spicy kick I was looking for, and the second time ipoh noodles was simply just shredded chicken with soup.

Whereas, several winners I thought made it worth coming back was the juicy chicken satay as well as beef rendang that was really done nice and tender. The curry vegetable is cooked differently from what we would expect ie sayuh londeh. Instead expect red curry with freshly cooked vegetables.

A great place for large crowds especially when you are treating colleagues vice versa and do not want to spend a bomb.
