We were celebrating a friend's birthday who is into all things Korean, hence it was pretty unanimous decision that a new Korean restaurant would be the order of the day.
Togi Korean Restaurant is located at Tripleone (111) Somerset, making it extremely convenient as a dining place, with the Somerset MRT just across the road. The restaurant is located on the second floor, away from the crowds. What's unique about the outlet is the unusually high ceilings and air plants which make it a very pleasant dining experience. However, we were in for a surprise as we had ordered raw beef and pork, with the impression we would BBQ the meats on our own. Instead it was served to us cooked. Apparently, if you wished to do the barbecuing then you would need to sit outside. If we had known, I think our meal order would be different.
Personally I have begun not to appreciate eating BBQ meats at Korean restaurants as they usually come with a few slices of meat and a price tag of $25-$35, where I could get a good piece of steak for around the same price elsewhere. But sometimes, it's not just the food, but the company and environment. And in most Korean restaurants, the bonus is usually the little Kimchi side dishes that come together with a meal ordered.
I think the Korean food here is fairly decent, good to come if you are having a craving of Korean food when at Orchard Road.
